Twenty-seven historic
aircraft, dating from the 1940s to
the present, may be viewed at Aeroplanes Over
Idaho. These include a 1945 Yak3U, an AN-2 Colt
and a Skyhawk A-4.
Aeroplanes Over Idaho was founded by retired
United Airlines Captain Holbrook Maslen and Ray
Leadabrand (1927-2006), a civilian with Navy
Intelligence, in 2003, for the purposes of
aviation education, aircraft restoration and
preservation. Guests can observe various stages
of restoration on historic aircraft. New
aircraft are regularly added to its collection.
Aeroplanes Over Idaho is dedicated to teaching
flying and aviation maintenance to young
people, especially children at risk. If you
have a youth group that would be interested in
visiting the museum or receiving a free airplane
ride, please E-mail
info@aeroplanesoveridaho.org.
In addition, Aeroplanes Over Idaho offers general maintenance and
annuals provided by FAA certified IAs
and A&Ps.
